ALLEGED SLAYER FACES GRAND JURY
Lewis Swanson Accused of Murdering Hall Waives Examination
Lewis Swanson was held to the Harlan County Grand Jury to await action on a charge of murder today by acting Judge G.B. Bruner. He was in jail in default of bond.
Swanson is accused of murdering his father-in-law W.K. Hall near Cawood last Thursday. Swanson, who surrendered to officers here immediately following the killing, declared that he fired a single shot after his father-in-law had discharged three bullets in his direction. He declared he did not know why Hall shot him.
