Paul Spurlock
JONESVILLE, Va. — Paul Spurlock, 84, died Saturday (Sept. 4, 1999) at Lee County Community Hospital in Pennington Gap.
    He was born in Harlan County, Ky. and had been a resident of Lee County for the past 25 years.
    He was a retired carpenter and veteran of the U.S. Army.
    Mr. Spurlock was a member and Deacon of the First Christian Church in Pennington Gap, Va.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, G. W. and Susan Spurlock; and 10 brothers and sister.
    Surviving are his wife, Eula Hedrick Spurlock, of the home; two sons, Dale Spurlock and wife, June, Salt Lake City, Utah; Larry Spurlock, Sterling, Va.; three daughters, Elizabeth and husband, Harold Milot, Walla Walla, Wash., Helen Vulliet, Hartford, Conn., Pauletta and husband, Larry McMahill, San Diego, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Joe Spurlock, Harlan, Ky., Howard Spurlock, Sterling, Va., Lee Spurlock, Apopka, Fla., Rufus Spurlock, Tampa, Fla.; one sister, Delora Gibson, Jonesville, Va.; several nieces and nephews.
    Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Province Funeral Home in Jonesville, Va.
    Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Sanctuary of the funeral home with the Rev. Ken Kehrer officiating.
    Burial will follow at Powell Valley Cemetery in Dryden, Va.
