    Mallie Farmer Pace, 79, Grays Knob, died Jan. 9, 2005, at Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital.
    She was born June 12, 1925, in Harlan County, was a homemaker and believed in the Holiness faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Pearlie Ledford Farmer; her husband, Elbert Pace; two daughters: Jewell Lee Short and Marlin Pace; two brothers: Lester Farmer and Fred Farmer; and four sisters: Thelma Smith; Roxie Jones; Alice Farmer and Cassie Weaver.
    Survivors include two sons: Roger Glen Pace and wife, Debbie, Grays Knob; and Elbert Pace Jr. and wife, Linda, Grays Knob; ex-daughter-in-law: Tina Pace, Cranks; two brothers: the Rev. Howard Farmer, Cawood; and Olin Farmer, Grays Knob; three sisters: Elise Stanton, Cawood; Ellie Sue Robertson, Battle Creek, Mich.; and Vernie Walker, Corbin; 11 grandchildren: Debbie Smith, Jeff Short, Shelby Short Jr., Melissa Short, Tracy Short, Johnny Short, Kimberly Michelle Pace, Michael Pace, Roger Glen Lee Pace, Mark Pace and Robert Pace; seven great grandchildren: Joshua Grant Short, Misty Short, Tiffany Short, Chelsea Short, Michael Short, Bethany Short and Chasity Smith; and one great-great grandchild.
    Visitation is today from 6 to 9 p.m. in the chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home.
    Graveside services will be Wednesday at the Grays Knob Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Grubbs and the Rev. Don Smith officiating.
    Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
    Mount Pleasant Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
