L. Browning Funeral Rites Set Saturday

   Lincoln Browning, 94-year-old retired Cranks Farmer, died yesterday at his home following a long illness.

   Funeral services will be conducted at his home Saturday 1 p.m. with  the Rev. Clifford Baumgarder. Burial will be in the Browning cemetery at Cranks.

   Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lydia Browning, Cranks; and nine children, Wilson and Mike Browning, Jonesville, VA; Mrs. Milton Carter, Cawood; Mrs. Lizzie Skidmore, Calvin Browning, Mrs. Henry Moore, Jane Browning, Mrs. Green Garrett and Estill Farmer, all of Cranks.

  Other survivors are five brothers, Daniel and Jake Browning, Richmond and Charles, Alex and Wash Spurlock, Smith and two sisters, Mrs. Jemiam Dean and Mrs. Sallie Green, all of Cranks.

  Forty-six grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren also survived.

  Active ballbears will be grandsons. Honorary pallbears will be Chester Frost, Milford Napier, Paul Garrett, Carl Napier, John Draughn, Welcher Price, Clifford Burgan and Ike Hensley.

  The body will be taken to the home this afternoon.
