CRASH THAT KILLED MAN CLAIMS HIS WIFE
An elderly Mount Sterling woman who was injured Thursday in a two-car accident that killed her husband has died.
Joan Enoch Ledford, 88, died late Thursday at Mary Chiles Hospital in Mount Sterling. Her husband, Curtis Burnam "Bill" Ledford Jr., 92, was pronounced dead at 12:30 p.m., shortly after the wreck.
The collision apparently occurred when Mr. Ledford drove from a Kroger store parking lot into the path of an oncoming car on the Mount Sterling Bypass.
Joint funerals for the Ledfords will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Taul Funeral Home in Mount Sterling. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday. Contributions are suggested to Mount Sterling First United Methodist Church Building Fund.
