Slate Fall Fatal To Miner

   Funeral services were conducted at Cawood today at 2 p.m. for Bill Swanson, 25, Crummies Creek Coal Company miner killed at 8:40 a.m., Wednesday at the company's No. 1 mine in slate fall. Services were conducted at the family home and burial was in the Cawood cemetery (actually it was the Fields Cemetery).

   In addition to his wife, Mrs. Oma Swanson, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Rachel Swanson and three small children, Tommy (actually Larry Gene Swanson), Billy and Josie Ann (Joyce Ann), all of Cawood. Three brothers and four sisters all of Cawood, also survive his death, as follows: Mrs. Sudie Grubbs, Mrs. Leona Harris, Mrs. Ethel Vanever and Lotta Swanson
